My name is Rosie, and I have been a drummer for over 20 years and a teacher for 12. The bands I’ve played in cover a wide range of genres, including electronica, jazz-hip-hop, rock, blues-rock, and punk-rock. I am an enthusiastic teacher, and my lessons provide a fun, well-structured way for people of all ages to learn from scratch all the techniques needed to become confident drummers.
My lessons are tailored to each individual student to achieve the best results, concentrating on timing, technique, notation, and independence. I also teach the Rockschool grade syllabus if you’d like to study for exams.
In addition to perfecting these techniques, I believe it’s important for each student to find their natural groove and to enjoy each lesson, however challenging it may be. Many of my students love learning songs by their favourite bands, which is a rewarding experience from start to finish. After all, drumming should be fun!
Lessons are taught from my studio on either an acoustic or electronic drum kit. Online lessons are also available through Skype and Zoom.
